Myrzakent, formerly known as Slavyanka, is a small town located in southern Kazakhstan, near the border with Uzbekistan. The town has a temperate climate with hot summers and cold winters. It was founded in the 19th century by Russian settlers and was originally named Slavyanka. In 1993, the town was renamed Myrzakent after the Kazakh poet and philosopher Myrzakululy. The town is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Myrzakent Museum and the Myrzakent Mosque.
