Montaberner is a municipality in the province of Valencia, Spain. It is located in the central part of the province, in the comarca of La Costera. The town is situated on the right bank of the Júcar River, at an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and mild winters. The average annual temperature is 16.5 degrees Celsius. The town has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the Roman era. The town was founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC, and was known as "Castrum Album". The town was later conquered by the Moors in the 8th century, and was known as "Al-Muntabar". The town was reconquered by the Christians in the 13th century, and was renamed "Montaberner". The town has a number of historic buildings, including the church of San Miguel, which was built in the 16th century.
