Moline, Illinois, is a city located in the northwestern part of the state, on the Mississippi River. The city has a humid continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters. Moline was founded in 1837 by John Deere, who invented the steel plow there. The city is home to several museums and historical sites, including the John Deere Pavilion and the Figge Art Museum.
