Minturno, also known as Minturno,minto~uruno,ミントゥルノ, is a town and comune in Lazio, central Italy. It is located in the province of Latina, south of Rome, and is situated on the southern bank of the Garigliano River. The town has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Minturno has a long and rich history, dating back to the Roman Republic. It was a major port and military outpost, and was the site of a famous battle between the Romans and the Carthaginians in 216 BC. The town was also home to a number of important Roman emperors, including Augustus and Tiberius. Today, Minturno is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful beaches, historical sites, and delicious food.
