Meridianville, Alabama, is a town located in the northern part of the state, just east of Huntsville. The town has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Meridianville was first settled in the early 1800s and was originally known as "Merritt's Crossroads." The town was renamed Meridianville in 1881 after the Meridian Railroad was built through the area. Meridianville is home to several historical sites, including the Meridianville Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
