Meredith is a town in Belknap County, New Hampshire, United States. It is located at the northern end of Lake Winnipesaukee, the largest lake in the state. Meredith was founded in 1768 and was named after Sir William Meredith, a British official who was the governor of New Hampshire from 1767 to 1775.
