McKees Rocks is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, with a population of 5,692 as of the 2020 census. It is located on the Ohio River, just northwest of Pittsburgh. The borough was founded in 1892 and named after William McKee, an early settler. McKees Rocks has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The borough is home to a number of historical sites, including the McKees Rocks Bridge, which was built in 1892 and is the oldest surviving bridge in Allegheny County. McKees Rocks also has a strong cultural heritage, with a number of ethnic festivals and events held throughout the year.
