Marietta, Oklahoma, is a town in Love County with a population of 2,626. It is located in southern Oklahoma, approximately 10 miles north of the Red River and 70 miles south of Oklahoma City. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters. Marietta was founded in 1872 as a stop on the Missouri, Kansas and Texas Railroad. The town is home to the Marietta Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts from the town's history.
