Maribo is a town located in the southeastern part of the Danish island of Zealand. The town has a population of around 5,500 people and is known for its well-preserved medieval town centre. Maribo is located on the Maribo Fjord and has a temperate climate with warm summers and mild winters. The town was founded in the 12th century and was once an important trading centre. Maribo is home to a number of historical buildings, including the Maribo Cathedral, which is one of the largest churches in Denmark.
