Malajog, also known as Malahog, is a municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. It is located on the southern coast of Leyte Island, approximately 40 kilometers south of the provincial capital, Tacloban City. The municipality has a tropical monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and an average annual rainfall of 1,800 millimeters. Malajog has a rich history and heritage, with its earliest recorded settlement dating back to the 16th century. The municipality is home to several historical sites, including the Malajog Church, which was built in the 18th century, and the Malajog Municipal Hall, which was built in the 19th century.
