Mähring is a municipality in the district of Tirschenreuth in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Upper Palatinate region, near the border with the Czech Republic. The village has a population of around 2,000 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from -2°C in January to 20°C in July. The village was first mentioned in 1138 and was part of the Duchy of Bavaria until 1806. It then became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria and remained so until 1918. After World War I, it became part of the Weimar Republic and then Nazi Germany. After World War II, it became part of the Federal Republic of Germany. The village is home to a number of historical buildings, including the 13th-century Church of St. Martin.
