Maasdijk is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located in the municipality of Westland, about 10 km west of The Hague. The village has a population of around 4,000 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 3°C in January to 18°C in July. Maasdijk was first mentioned in 1246. The village was founded on a dike along the Maas River. In the 16th century, the village was destroyed by a flood. It was rebuilt in the 17th century. Maasdijk is known for its greenhouses, which produce tomatoes, cucumbers, and other vegetables.
