Lynn Haven, Florida is a city in Bay County with a population of 18,493 (2020 census). It is located on the Florida Panhandle, about 10 miles (16 km) west of Panama City. The city was incorporated in 1913 and is named after Lynn Haven Bay, which is located to the south of the city. The weather in Lynn Haven is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The city has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the early 19th century. The area was originally inhabited by the Apalachicola people, and later by Spanish settlers. In the 1800s, the area was known for its logging industry.
