Lyndon, Kentucky is a city in Jefferson County, located just east of Louisville. The city has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. Lyndon was founded in 1780 by Colonel John Floyd and was named after his estate in Wales. The city is home to a number of historic sites, including the Lyndon House and the Lyndon Mill, which are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
