Lyncourt is a village in Onondaga County, New York, United States, located in the town of Salina. The village is situated just northwest of Syracuse and has a population of approximately 3,600 people. The weather in Lyncourt is humid continental, with cold, snowy winters and hot, humid summers. The village was founded in 1830 and was originally known as Salina Centre. The name was changed to Lyncourt in 1893 in honor of John Lyn, a local businessman and philanthropist. Lyncourt has a rich history and heritage, and is home to several historic buildings, including the Lyncourt Village Hall and the Lyncourt Methodist Church.
