Luther, Oklahoma, is a small town located in central Oklahoma, approximately 25 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. The town is known for its strong German heritage and its annual Germanfest celebration. Luther has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The town was founded in 1893 by German immigrants and was named after Martin Luther, the Protestant reformer.
