Lompico, California is a small unincorporated community in Santa Cruz County, located approximately 15 miles northeast of Santa Cruz. Lompico's history dates back to the mid-1800s when it was a stagecoach stop on the road between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. The town's heritage is reflected in its historic buildings, including the Lompico Store and the Lompico Schoolhouse, which are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
