Loja, also known as Lokha or Лоха, is a municipality in the province of Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It is located at an altitude of 440 meters above sea level and has a population of around 20,000 inhabitants. The weather in Loja is typically Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The town has a rich history and heritage, dating back to the Roman period. It was later conquered by the Moors, who built a castle on the hill overlooking the town. The castle was later taken by the Christians in the 15th century.
