Lodi, California, is a city located in the San Joaquin Valley, about 35 miles south of Sacramento. The city has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Lodi was founded in 1850 by a group of settlers from the Midwest. The city's early economy was based on agriculture, and Lodi is still known today for its wine grapes and other agricultural products. Lodi is also home to a number of historical landmarks, including the Carnegie Library, the Chinese Temple, and the Lodi Arch.
