Liling, also known as Lilin, is a county-level city located in the eastern part of Hunan province, China. The city lies at the northern foothills of the Luoxiao Mountains, at the confluence of the Liuyang and Weishui rivers. Liling has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild, dry winters. The city has a long history dating back to the Qin dynasty, and is known for its production of ceramics, including porcelain, pottery, and stoneware. Liling is also home to several historical and cultural sites, including the Liling Porcelain Museum, the Liling Ceramic Art Gallery, and the Liling Ancient City Wall.
