Lianyuan, formerly known as Lantian, is a county-level city in Hunan Province, China. It is situated in the southern part of the province, bordering Jiangxi Province to the east and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to the west. The city has a humid subtropical climate, with average temperatures ranging from 12.5°C to 18.3°C. Lianyuan has a rich history, dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE). It was once a major center of porcelain production and is home to several historical and cultural sites, including the Lianyuan Porcelain Museum and the Lantian Ancient City.
