Leninaul, also known as Aktash-Aul, is a village in Dagestan, Russia, located at the northern foothills of the Caucasus Mountains, at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level. It has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. The village was founded in the 19th century and was originally called Aktash-Aul. In 1928, it was renamed Leninaul in honor of Vladimir Lenin. The village has a rich cultural heritage, with many traditional Dagestan customs and traditions still being practiced today.
