Lee is a town in Strafford County, New Hampshire, United States. It is located at 43.1231400°N 71.0114500°W. The town is part of the Manchester Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lee was founded in 1766 and incorporated in 1776. The town is named after General Charles Lee, who served in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. Lee is home to the University of New Hampshire at Manchester. The town is also home to several historic sites, including the Lee Congregational Church, which was built in 1769, and the Lee Town Hall, which was built in 1836. Lee has a humid continental climate with cold, snowy winters and warm, humid summers.
