Lanuvio, a town in Latium, Italy, lies approximately 25 kilometers southeast of Rome at an elevation of 321 meters above sea level. The town has a humid subtropical climate, with average temperatures ranging from 12.6°C in January to 24.5°C in July. Lanuvio has a rich history, dating back to the 7th century BC, when it was a major center of the Latin League. It was conquered by the Romans in 338 BC and became a municipium in 177 BC. Lanuvio is known for its well-preserved ancient ruins, including the Temple of Juno Sospita, the Sanctuary of Diana, and the Roman amphitheater.
