Langsur is a municipality in the Rhein-Hunsrück district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located in the Hunsrück mountains, about 15 km southwest of Simmern. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C in January to 18°C in July. The village has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages. It was first mentioned in 1242, and it was once part of the Archbishopric of Trier. The village church, St. Peter's Church, was built in the 13th century. Langsur is also home to a number of half-timbered houses, which are typical of the region.
