Krasnogvardeyskoye, also known as Krasnogvardejskoe, is a town in Adygeya, Russia, located at the confluence of the Psekups and Laba Rivers. The town has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. It was founded in 1864 as a Cossack settlement and named Nikolayevskoye after Tsar Nicholas II. In 1920, it was renamed Krasnogvardeyskoye in honor of the Red Guards who fought in the Russian Civil War.
