Kramators'k, also known as Kramatorsk, is a city located in the Donets'ka Oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine, approximately 100 kilometers northwest of Donetsk. With a population of over 150,000, it is the sixth-largest city in the oblast. The city has a humid continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters. Kramators'k was founded in 1868 as a railway junction and industrial center. It became a major center of heavy industry during the Soviet era and remains an important industrial hub today. The city is home to several museums and cultural institutions, including the Kramatorsk Art Museum and the Kramatorsk Museum of Local Lore.
