Kotovs'k, formerly known as Birzula, is a city in southern Ukraine, located on the right bank of the Southern Bug River. It has a humid continental climate with hot summers and cold winters. Kotovs'k was founded in 1754 and played a significant role in the Russian-Turkish wars. It is known for its historical landmarks, including the 18th-century St. Nicholas Church and the Birzula Fortress.
