Kireyevsk is a city in Tula Oblast, Russia, located 120 km southwest of Moscow. It has a temperate continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. The city was founded in 1762 as a settlement for workers at a local ironworks. Today, Kireyevsk is a major industrial center with a population of over 25,000 people. It is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and the Kireyevsk Museum of Local Lore.
