Kingsley is a village in Grand Traverse County, Michigan, United States, with a population of 1,480 as of the 2010 census. It is located in the northwestern part of the state, about 10 miles (16 km) east of Traverse City. The village was founded in 1855 by Kingsley S. Bingham, a lumberman from New York. Kingsley has a humid continental climate with warm, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. The village is home to the Kingsley Area Historical Museum, which features exhibits on the history of the village and the surrounding area.
