Khorol is a city in central Ukraine, located on the Khorol River in the Poltava Oblast. The city has a humid continental climate, with average temperatures ranging from -6°C in January to 22°C in July. Khorol was first mentioned in historical records in 1649, and was granted city status in 1782. The city has a rich history, and is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Church of the Holy Trinity, and the Khorol Museum of Local Lore.
