Kempfeld is a municipality in the Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated in the Hunsrück mountains, approximately 10 km southwest of Simmern. The village has a population of around 800 people and is known for its picturesque half-timbered houses and its beautiful surroundings. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C in January to 20°C in July. Kempfeld was first mentioned in 1135 and was granted town rights in 1330. The town has a rich history and heritage, with many historical buildings and monuments, including the 14th-century St. Martin's Church and the 16th-century town hall.
