Kellinghusen is a town in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is located on the banks of the River Stör, approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Hamburg. The town has a population of around 8,000 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 2°C in January to 18°C in July. Kellinghusen was first mentioned in 1188 and received town privileges in 1238. The town's history is closely linked to the Hanseatic League, and it was a member of the league from the 14th to the 16th centuries. Kellinghusen is home to several historical buildings, including the St. Cyriakus Church, which was built in the 13th century.
