Kashin is a town in Tverskaya Oblast, Russia, located at the confluence of the Kashinka and Suda rivers, 175 kilometers northeast of Tver. The town has a humid continental climate, with cold, snowy winters and warm, humid summers. Kashin was first mentioned in chronicles in 1238 and was granted town status in 1775.
