Kaihua, also known as Kaihwa or Kaihwafu, is a county-level city located in the southeast of Yunnan Province, China. Situated at 23.3687°N, 104.2800°E, it experiences a humid subtropical climate with an average annual temperature of 14.9°C. Kaihua has a rich history, dating back to the Ming dynasty when it was known as Wen-shan-hsien. It is home to numerous cultural heritage sites, including the Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, which is renowned for its ethnic minority traditions and festivals.
