Jetmore is a small city in Hodgeman County, Kansas, United States. It is located in the south-central part of the state, approximately 100 miles west of Wichita. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. The city was founded in 1879 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, and was named after William Jetmore, a railroad official. Jetmore has a rich history and heritage, and is home to several historic buildings, including the Jetmore Opera House and the Hodgeman County Courthouse.
