Jablah is a coastal city in northwestern Syria, situated at the mouth of the Nahr al-Kabir al-Shamali River, approximately 20 kilometers north of Latakia. The city experiences a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Jablah has a rich history dating back to ancient times, with evidence of human settlement in the area from the Neolithic period. It was an important center during the Roman and Byzantine eras, and later became part of the Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphates. The city is home to numerous historical and cultural landmarks, including the Citadel of Jablah, the Great Mosque of Jablah, and the Mar Takla Monastery.
