Itasca is a village located in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The village is situated approximately 25 miles west of Chicago and has a population of around 9,000 residents. The weather in Itasca is characterized by cold, snowy winters and hot, humid summers. The village was founded in 1833 by a group of settlers from New England and was originally known as Bloomingdale. The name was changed to Itasca in 1886 after the lake of the same name in Minnesota. The village has a rich history and heritage, with many of its original buildings still standing today.
