Irrigon is a city in Morrow County, Oregon, United States. It is located on the Columbia River, at the confluence of the Umatilla River, and has a population of 1,827 as of the 2010 census. The city was founded in 1904 and is named after the nearby Umatilla Indian Reservation. The city's economy is based on agriculture, with wheat, potatoes, and onions being the primary crops. Irrigon also has a number of food processing plants, including a potato processing plant and a fruit and vegetable cannery. The city is located in the Pacific Time Zone and has a mild climate, with average temperatures ranging from 30 degrees Fahrenheit in January to 70 degrees Fahrenheit in July.
