Ina, Illinois is a village located in Jefferson County, at the intersection of Illinois Route 15 and Illinois Route 142. It is situated approximately 40 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri. The village has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Ina was founded in 1855 by the Illinois Central Railroad, and was named after Ina, the daughter of railroad president William H. Osborn. The village has a rich heritage, with many historic buildings and landmarks, including the Ina Depot Museum, which houses a collection of railroad artifacts.
