Huntley is a village in McHenry County, Illinois, United States, located about 40 miles northwest of Chicago. The village has a population of 25,943 (2020 census) and is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Huntley was founded in 1854 by a group of settlers from New York and New England. The village was named after George Huntley, one of the original settlers. Huntley has a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters.
