Huayuan, also known as Hua-yuan-chen, is a county-level city in Hunan, China. It is located in the western part of the province, bordering Guizhou and Chongqing. The city has a humid subtropical climate with average temperatures ranging from 12 to 25 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Huayuan has a long history dating back to the Qin dynasty, and it was once the capital of the Yongsui Tujia and Miao Autonomous County. The city is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Yongsui Ancient City, the Huayuan Tujia Museum, and the Huayuan Miao Embroidery Museum.
