Hrtkovci, also known as Herkoca or Herkóca, is a small village located in Serbia, near the city of Sremska Mitrovica. The village is situated in the Vojvodina province, in the northern part of the country. The climate in Hrtkovci is continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The village has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages. It was first mentioned in 1310, and was part of the Serbian Kingdom until the Ottoman conquest in the 15th century. After the liberation of Serbia in the 19th century, Hrtkovci became part of the newly independent country. The village is home to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Church of the Holy Trinity, which was built in the 18th century.
