Horka is a town in the district of Görlitz in Saxony, Germany. It is located on the Lusatian Neisse river, near the border with Poland. The town has a population of about 1,800 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from -1°C in January to 20°C in July. The town was first mentioned in a document in 1228. It was part of the Kingdom of Bohemia from 1319 to 1635, and then part of the Electorate of Saxony until 1815. In 1815, it became part of the Kingdom of Prussia. After World War II, it became part of East Germany. In 1990, it became part of the reunified Germany. The town's heritage includes the Church of St. Nicholas, which was built in the 15th century, and the Town Hall, which was built in the 16th century.
