Hömberg is a municipality in the district of Neuwied, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located approximately 10 km south of Neuwied, and 15 km north of Koblenz. The municipality has a population of around 1,500 people. The average temperature in Hömberg is 10°C, with an average annual precipitation of 600 mm. The municipality was first mentioned in a document in 1136. The village was part of the Archbishopric of Trier until 1803, when it was secularized and became part of the Duchy of Nassau. In 1866, the Duchy of Nassau was annexed by Prussia, and Hömberg became part of the Prussian province of Hesse-Nassau. In 1946, Hömberg became part of the newly founded state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
