Holladay is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. It is located in the eastern part of the Salt Lake Valley, about 10 miles (16 km) southeast of downtown Salt Lake City. The city has a population of about 28,000 people. The climate is semi-arid, with hot summers and cold winters. Holladay was founded in 1847 by Mormon pioneers. The city is named after John Holladay, who was one of the first settlers in the area. Holladay is home to a number of historical sites, including the Holladay City Hall and the Holladay Presbyterian Church.
