Hohenkammer is a municipality in the district of Freising in Bavaria, Germany. It is located approximately 30 km (19 mi) north of Munich, at an elevation of 448 m (1,470 ft) above sea level. The municipality has a population of around 2,500. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from -1°C (30°F) in January to 18°C (64°F) in July. The municipality was first mentioned in 1070 as "Hohen Cammer". It was ruled by the Counts of Hohenkammer until 1507, when it was acquired by the Duchy of Bavaria. In 1803, Hohenkammer became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria. The municipality has a rich cultural heritage, with many historical buildings and monuments.
