Hlukhiv, also known as Glukhov, is a city in the Sumy Oblast of Ukraine, located in the northern part of the country at the confluence of the Esman and Kleven rivers. The city has a humid continental climate with warm summers and cold winters. Hlukhiv has a rich history dating back to the 11th century, and was once the capital of the Cossack Hetmanate. Today, the city is known for its cultural heritage, including the Hlukhiv Pedagogical University, the Hlukhiv Museum of Local Lore, and the Hlukhiv Art Gallery.
