Hetin is a village in Serbia, located in the municipality of Vršac in the Vojvodina province. It is situated in the Banat region, near the border with Romania, at an elevation of 85 meters (279 feet) above sea level. The climate is continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The average temperature in January is -1.1 °C (30 °F), while in July it is 22.2 °C (72 °F). The village was first mentioned in 1332 as "Heteny", and it has been inhabited by Serbs, Hungarians, and Germans throughout its history. The village is home to the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas, which was built in 1790.
