Hainfeld is a municipality in the district of Bad Dürkheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is located at an elevation of 160 meters (520 feet) above sea level, and has a population of around 800 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from 0°C (32°F) in January to 20°C (68°F) in July. Hainfeld was first mentioned in 1270, and was part of the Electorate of the Palatinate until 1803. It then became part of the Grand Duchy of Baden, and in 1946 it became part of Rhineland-Palatinate. Hainfeld is home to a number of historical buildings, including the 13th-century church of St. Martin and the 16th-century castle of Hainfeld.
